Subtract Manufacturing was founded in 2025 by machinist and YouTuber AJ Huff with the goal of being a more hands-on, community-focused approach to traditional manufacturing job boards. In his time building a machining audience online, he heard from shops and engineers alike that high-quality jobs and high-quality shops didn’t always have an easy time finding each other. So he started Subtract Manufacturing to do just that.
